It is the memory that inspires me most, what we hold on to, what we let go, and its traces. I am Costume Designer, Set Designer,Decoration,Interier,Design,Stylist, as well as a multimedia artist working with clothing and interactive technologies. Together lead me to form a multi-media design company, Risen from the Thread LLC.
The variety of mediums (theatre, fashion, music and art) allows me to blend techniques and find unique ways to cross genres with a new point of view. From Broadway to an interactive media installation in Times square, I am interested in how to tell a story about people, objects, and relationships to our environment.
Recent design credits include Broadway’s Bring It On, American Idiot (Broadway and touring productions), STREB’s: Forces and the 2018 London Cultural Olympiad, in addition to numerous theatrical productions, dance, and opera in New York City and around the country.Working as a stylist my work can be seen in Rolling Stone, Vogue, OUT Magazine, The 52nd Annual Grammy Awards, The Tony Awards, red carpet events, commercials, music videos, and promo shoots.
Honors: Baryshnikov Fellow (NYU), NYSCA Grant 2011 as a STREB innovative collaborator, Clothing design inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Nominee for the 2012 Lucille Lortel Awards and the NAACP Theatre Awards Nominee for Bring It On/Costume Design.
